THE UPPER POND
Dear neighbor,
The HOA Board of Directors has recently voted to move forward with some significant improvements to the upper pond in Lennox Lake. This is maintenance work that can no longer be delayed and still expect a healthy, safe pond that the entire neighborhood has access to enjoy. If you haven’t already, you will soon see a good bit of activity around the pond.
A professional contractor has been hired to dredge the pond and relocate some of the dirt, silt, sludge, and spoil. This has been carefully put into motion by your HOA BOD and the contractor, Grassy Creek LLC. The total project time is a few months, but they won’t be there the whole time as there will be several periods of inactivity while the pond lowers, dries, and then eventually refills. Soon, the contractor will install a valve to allow the pond to be safely lowered by several feet. This will allow the pond to dry and be more accessible. Key entry points will be used to bring in their equipment for use in the pond. If you haven’t been contacted already, you are most likely not affected by this part of the project. Upon installation of the valve, the pond will start to lower. There may be an odor as the muck is exposed, but this will only be temporary. After a few weeks of drying, the contractor will bring his equipment back for the heavy work in the pond. Once complete and the BOD is satisfied, the contractor will close the valve and the pond will return to full pool. The advantage to this is a healthy pond. It will also be more aesthetically pleasing as much of the organic matter will be removed. The fish should be unharmed as the pond will not be fully drained, and we plan to run an aerator during that time. While nothing is guaranteed, we do not expect any major issues to arise during this time, but we will be monitoring the progress.
We do ask for your patience and cooperation during this project and appreciate your trust in us as we work to maintain and improve our great neighborhood.
Best regards,
DO/LL BOD

Attention Pet Owners
Homeowners are reporting that waste is being left in their yards. Be thoughtful of others and pick up after your pooch. Do not dispose poo bags in the gutters. They are clogging up our drains and going into the ponds. Please dispose of at your own home.
